Steam listings are usually bought for one of three reasons: the games attached to the account, the CS2 or TF2 inventory sitting in it, or a high profile level with rare badges. They price very differently, so check what the listing is actually selling before comparing two prices.

Region is easy to overlook. A Steam account registered in a low-price region keeps that store pricing, but it also limits gifting and can be changed by Valve based on your payment location. Bans matter too: a VAC ban in one game marks the profile permanently, so ask if the listing does not say.

Steam Guard and trade holds

After you change the email or password, Steam applies a trade and market hold — typically up to 15 days — and a new Steam Guard mobile authenticator adds its own cooldown. This is normal and is not a seller failing to deliver, but it does mean you should plan around it if you are buying for the inventory.

Move the account onto your own email, enable Steam Guard on your own device, and only then release payment. Gameoro's warranty window gives you time to confirm the library and inventory match the listing.

Will I get a trade hold after buying a Steam account?

Yes, usually. Changing the email, password or authenticator triggers a Steam hold of up to 15 days on trades and Community Market sales. Plan for it if you are buying for an inventory.

Can I change the region of a Steam account?

Not directly. Valve sets the store region from your payment method and location, so do not buy an account purely for regional pricing.
